Welcome to the website for Foggy Bottom Ranch Alpacas, LLC where our slogan "Nature by Design" pretty much says it all.  We are a Huacaya alpaca farm located on 101 acres in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.  The ranch was designed and built exclusively to raise and breed these                                                       magnificent  animals.

All of the alpacas at Foggy Bottom Ranch are registered with Alpaca Registry, Inc.  and each and every one carries the powerful genetics from one or more of the following bloodlines:  4Peruvian Legacy, Bolivian Black Thunder, PPPeruvian El Moustachio, PPPeruvian Royal Fawn, 6Peruvian Accoyo Plantel, NWQ, LTD El Cuba,  Peruvian Bueno, PPeruvian Leon, MFI Pueblo, PPPeruvian Mr. President, and Peruvian Don Julio. 

"Nature by Design" is a lifestyle for us and our alpacas.  We alone care for the animals and the farm.  All of our decisions, from pasture creation and barn layout to purchases and breedings of the alpacas, are made with the animals' health and welfare as our top priorities. 

• By choosing a peacefully serene property we try to keep their lives as stress-free as possible
• Using only solar powered electricity generated on our farm is a great way to "go green" and be self-reliant
• Hand seeding our pastures from their beginning with grasses specifically mixed for the alpacas' optimal nutritional requirements is low-impact and conservation-minded
• Installing protective electric fencing ensures the safety of our alpacas
